Dublin, Ireland

Hi Ms. England’s Class!

Tidy Teddy traveled with me to Dublin, Ireland. He is having a lot of fun on his adventures in Europe. Have any of you been to Europe? It is a wonderful place and a lot of fun! Many of my friends love Tidy Teddy, and they ask me to bring him everywhere we go!

Here is Tidy Teddy on the plane ride to Ireland. Teddy went on the plane and on a train! He also went to Blarney Castle and to the park!

Dear Friends,

Oh my goodness!  I was visiting Ms. England’s family in Chicago, Illinois when a blizzard hit!  The winds were blowing so hard it was difficult for people to walk. There was even lightening and thunder during the storm and after it was all over, more than 20 inches of snow fell. There was so much snow that almost everyone stayed home for the day until the plows could move the snow. It was the third-largest snowstorm to ever come to Chicago and I was here to see it.  It was so much fun playing in the giant piles of snow.  I climbed a tree, slid down a hill and even made a  “Snow Bear.” It was truly a Winter Wonderland.

Hugs from your Friend,

Dear Ms. England’s class,

Tidy Teddy just wanted to check in from Africa.  He just went on a car trip from Cape Town down to the Cape of Good Hope.  On the way there, he stopped at a place called Boulder Beach which is home to a colony of African penguins.  He tried to make friends with the penguins, but they were quite shy.  I don’t think they have seen very many bears.

He then went to the Cape of Good Hope, where he climbed to the top of the peak, where he could see views of where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.  It was quite high up there, and Tidy Teddy was a little scared of heights, I think.  So, then I brought him back down to the car where he could see the baboons playing.

Teddy has been having a wonderful time in Cape Town and doesn’t want to leave.  But, I think he may miss his friends at school.  Plus, Cape Town is a little too hot for a bear.

He (and his travel guide) can’t wait to see you and to tell you all about his trip!

Hi Everyone!

Tidy Teddy traveled with me to the 2011 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.  In the morning there is the Tournament of Roses Parade, which has tons of flower-covered floats, marching bands, and horses.

After the parade was the football game, where the TCU Horned Frogs played the Wisconsin Badgers.  Even though Tidy Teddy cheered for the Badgers, they lost 19-21 to TCU.

Dear Ms. England’s class,

I heard about Tidy Teddy and that he has been traveling all around, but has never made it to the state of Idaho.  We actually live and work in Montana, but have to drive through a small part of Idaho to get to and from work.  I took a couple of pictures of him with my daughter Jenna.  As you can see, the leaves are changing and we are preparing for winter.  Montana winters can be very harsh and the snow will be here before we know it.  I hope that your class enjoys the pictures.

Sincerely,

Gretchen Heine

From Teton National Park, we traveled to Zion National Park in Utah. Zion is a giant canyon in Southern Utah, just north of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, where TT has visited before.

We had a great time on our trip, and I had a great time visiting you all before I left! I hope that you are all having a great year, and I’ll be back to visit again soon.

Sincerely,

Matt Perkins
