Greetings from Sequoia National Park! This week, Tidy Teddy and I got to visit the world’s biggest tree, which was HUGE! It’s over 275 feet tall and 25 feet across! It’s about 2,500 years old, making it one of the oldest living things on the planet. We saw a lot of really big trees here, and I wish you all could see it too!
Tidy Teddy went to visit Ms. Stamper’s mom in Elkhart, Indiana. He played with her cat, Cleo, and then helped take her dog, Maddie, for a walk! They went to Wellfield Botanic Gardens to walk the dogs. This garden is a beautiful place with lots of flowers and statues and a really big pond! Maddie loved sniffing all of the flowers, and Tidy Teddy enjoyed climbing on the statues! In these pictures, Tidy Teddy is playing on the baby bear statues while Momma Bear watches, and he is climbing on an elk statue. He wanted to show you how big an elk is compared to him. You can visit the garden, too…just click here…http://www.wellfieldgardens.org/
Recently, Tidy Teddy went on a trip with me and Ms. England to New Orleans, Louisiana. We got to do lots of fun stuff! First, we visited Café du Monde, which is famous for its beignets (French-style donuts), and then we walked around the famous French Quarter. TT even got to sit on top of an Alligator’s mouth! After that, we visited the old New Orleans Mint and listened to some great live jazz music. At the mint, they produced coins for over 100 years! Finally, we got to go to a crawfish boil on a levee near the Mississippi River. They boiled the crawfish right in front of us before we ate them- they were delicious! TT even got to meet my aunt and uncle’s cat, whose name is Fat Kitty- she’s REALLY fat, but she liked TT. You can see my Aunt Peggy and my cousin Katey in the picture at the crawfish boil. We had such a great trip, and hope to come back soon!
Today, Tidy Teddy drove with me through Kentucky on my way home to Chicago. We stopped in Franklin, Kentucky, at a Welcome Center for the state of Kentucky.” Tidy Teddy loved it! Hope to see you all soon!
